The regular meetings of the Council of Columbus, Georgia shall be held on the following days
9:00 a.m. on the second Tuesday of each month
5:30 p.m. on the fourth Tuesday of each month.
Except for such January meetings in odd-numbered years, a Proclamation Session shall be held
by the Mayor on the first Tuesday of each month at 5:30 p.m.
In any month with a fifth Tuesday, a consent agenda shall be considered and a Work Session Meeting
shall be held on said fifth Tuesday at 9:00 a.m., and there is no public agenda listed on that date.
Administrative policy for public agenda appearances with power point presentations and/or videos:
The Columbus Consolidated Government will no longer show PPPs (Power Point Presentations) and/or videos on the overhead screens during public agenda appearances.
Persons appearing on public agenda must print their own copies of their PPP and provide copies to the Clerk of Council for distribution to the mayor, city council members, and appropriate city staff, as they approach the podium to speak.
The Clerk of Council will provide a copy of the PPP to the mayor, city council members and appropriate city staff to follow along during the public agenda appearance/presentation (21 copies of PPP recommended to ensure the mayor, council members and appropriate city staff have a copy).
NOTE: Within 24 hours of form submission you will receive another notice confirming the date you wish to appear before the Council. If the second confirmation receipt is not received within 24 hours, please contact the Clerk of Council's Office at (706) 225-4013.
